X99 WorldCUP 2011

For more than 125 years the Kieler Woche has been the most important sporting event in Kiel. To that it is the largest of its kind in the world: Every year in the last week of June up to 6000 sailors from up to 50 nations with 2000 boats head for the Starting Line of the regatta courses on the inner and outer Kiel Förde.

It doesn ́t stand to reason, that even if the Kieler Woche with its 3,5 million visitors is the largest summer festival in northern Europe – sailing is the lively beating heart of the event! In spite of all traditions though, in the capitol sailing city the newest innovations of this sport are compared in the heat of action.

CHECK-IN:
Check in and measuring check for German Open participants on the 19.6.2011. For yachts only wanting to compete in the WC from 21.6.2011 to the 22.6.2011.

TUNE UP:
The National Championship (German Open) will be sailed as a tune up regatta during the Kieler Woche (20.6 – 22.6.2011).

OPENING CEREMONY:
Wednesday June 22rd; 8 p.m.

TIME SCHEDULE:
Thursday June 23rd; 1st Start 1 p.m.
Friday     June 24th; 1st Start 11:00 a.m.
Saturday June 25th; 1st Start 11:00 a.m.
Sunday    June 26th; 1st Start 11:00 a.m., last possible Start 2 p.m.

WC on June 26th
